The motor pattern of walking

In order to move, our body carries out very specific motor patterns that must not be altered in any way if we want to be well and healthy.

Unknowingly, we always think that the “comfortable” shoe is synonymous with feeling good and doing the right things, but instead this feeling of comfort does not make us realize what is actually happening to our body and our joints during each step.

Unfortunately, only with time will we feel the consequences with inevitable inflammation and trauma that will be more frequent for those who practice intense sporting activity.

Walking is a motor movement that we perform for free every day in work and free time, covering many kilometers in a year.
If this mechanism were carried out as correctly and naturally as possible, protecting ourselves only in those moments where it is not possible to maintain it, our body would receive many benefits.
During each step we unload up to 2 times our body weight on the ground and only a correct gesture can make it possible to dissipate the vertical forces in the horizontal so as to avoid overloading our joints and bones up to 80% less.

The cyclical pattern of walking occurs with a specific oscillation of the body that increases according to the speed and intensity of the movement itself.

This oscillation is fundamental and serves to make all the joints that have to perform the function ready and active, together with tendons and muscles to give the right degree of cushioning necessary at that moment as well as stability and balance.

The weight we generate at each step is thus softened and not perceived by our body but controlled and managed by our perfect synchronized functional system.

If this does not happen the joints are blocked at their right work and will make us feel continuous vibrations that will inevitably and continuously be distributed throughout the body with every step.

For this reason, we often go to look for more and more cushioned and protective shoes which, however, will never solve our movement mistake but will only act to deactivate the pain alarm and not to correct the real mistake.

For years we have performed many tests on footwear and users with special instruments to evaluate what happens in our body during walking without being influenced by the feeling of comfort experienced in the fit.

The results have shown us that the best situation that comes close to the natural movement of our body occurs when we are barefoot and the more we use protective products the more we move away from it.

In the photo on the side we see the result of a dynamic pressure test performed on a subject that has a correct movement, and it is highlighted how the center of gravity is not varied by barefoot and with barefoot shoes when instead in the use of protective shoes it is altered.

A further test with the same subject using sensors on the body showed how the natural oscillation is completely altered using traditional shoes compared to Barefoot shoes.

In this image the dotted line indicates the correct optimal movement of movement that should be respected, the closer you get to this line the more healthy and non-traumatic the movement will be.

The blue and red lines indicate the left and right step.

Note what changes from barefoot shoes to traditional shoes. The correct walking mechanism is highly blocked and altered and over time muscles and ligaments lose strength and elasticity, joints become blocked and bones collide.

These are then the main causes of pains in the knees, hips, back, consequence of a functional basis of incorrect movement.

Using barefoot shoes with the right indications and a period of adaptation to suit your condition has proven effective more than 90% of the time.

Barefoot shoes have no technology but have been created and tested to ensure that the foot maintains its natural and healthy movements, such as being barefoot, and we could take advantage of all times of the day such as working, playing sports etc. to finally regain proper control of the our body .. A continuous training, which does not cost us time and money.
